The Muir Storm VRC850 Vertical Windlass is a powerful and versatile anchoring system designed for vessels between 8 and 11 metres (26–37 feet). Built with polished marine-grade stainless steel components, it delivers reliable anchor handling along with added functionality through its integrated capstan.
This capstan model allows for both anchor handling and auxiliary line handling, making it ideal for docking, mooring, and general deck operations. Its vertical configuration enables below-deck motor installation, maintaining a clean deck layout while protecting key components from harsh marine conditions.
Equipped with a 12V DC 800W motor, the VRC850 is configured to suit 5/16" (8mm) G4 chain and supports rope-chain combinations for smooth and efficient anchoring performance.
