- Description
The Muir Storm VRC2200 Vertical Windlass is a heavy-duty anchoring system designed for vessels between 12 and 15 metres (38–50 feet). Built with polished marine-grade stainless steel components, it delivers powerful and reliable anchor handling along with added versatility through its integrated capstan.
This capstan model allows for both anchor handling and auxiliary line handling, making it ideal for docking, mooring, and general deck operations. Its vertical configuration enables below-deck motor installation, maintaining a clean deck layout while protecting key components from harsh marine environments.
Equipped with a 12V DC motor rated at 1500W, the VRC2200 is configured to suit 5/16" (8mm) G4 chain and supports rope-chain combinations for smooth and efficient anchoring performance.
