- Description
The Muir Storm VRC1250 Vertical Windlass is a powerful and versatile anchoring system designed for vessels between 10 and 13 metres (32–44 feet). Built with polished marine-grade stainless steel components, it delivers strong and reliable anchor handling along with added flexibility through its integrated capstan.
This capstan model allows for both anchor handling and auxiliary line handling, making it ideal for docking, mooring, and general deck operations. Its vertical configuration enables below-deck motor installation, maintaining a clean deck layout while protecting critical components from exposure to harsh marine conditions.
Equipped with a 12V DC motor rated at 1200W, the VRC1250 is configured to suit 5/16" (8mm) G4 chain and supports rope-chain combinations for smooth and efficient anchoring performance.
