The Muir Storm VR850 Vertical Windlass is a powerful and reliable anchoring system designed for vessels between 8 and 11 metres (26–37 feet). Built with polished marine-grade stainless steel components, it delivers smooth and dependable anchor handling in demanding marine environments.
Its vertical configuration allows the motor and gearbox to be mounted below deck, maintaining a clean deck layout while improving protection from exposure. The integrated rope-chain gypsy and Rope Chain Management System (RCMS) ensure efficient handling of rope and chain combinations for consistent anchoring performance.
This model features a 12V DC motor rated at 800W and is configured to suit 5/16" (8mm) G4 chain, making it an ideal solution for mid-size boats requiring strong and consistent anchoring capability.
