- Description
The Muir Storm VR3500 Vertical Windlass is a heavy-duty, high-capacity anchoring system designed for vessels between 15 and 24 metres (48–79 feet). Built with polished marine-grade stainless steel components, it delivers exceptional strength and reliability for demanding anchoring operations on larger vessels.
Its vertical configuration allows the motor and gearbox to be mounted below deck, maintaining a clean deck layout while protecting key components from harsh marine exposure. The integrated rope-chain gypsy and Rope Chain Management System (RCMS) ensure smooth and efficient handling of rope and chain combinations for consistent anchoring performance.
This model features a 12V DC motor rated at 1700W and is configured to suit 3/8" (10mm) G4 chain, making it ideal for large vessels requiring powerful and dependable anchoring capability.
