- Description
The Muir Storm VR2200 Vertical Windlass is a heavy-duty anchoring system designed for vessels between 12 and 15 metres (38–50 feet). Built with polished marine-grade stainless steel components, it delivers powerful and reliable anchor handling for larger vessels operating in demanding marine environments.
Its vertical configuration allows the motor and gearbox to be mounted below deck, maintaining a clean deck layout while improving protection from exposure. The integrated rope-chain gypsy and Rope Chain Management System (RCMS) ensure smooth and efficient handling of rope and chain combinations for consistent anchoring performance.
This model features a 12V DC motor rated at 1500W and is configured to suit 5/16" (8mm) G4 chain, making it ideal for larger boats requiring strong and dependable anchoring capability.
