The Muir HR2500 Cheetah is a high‑capacity horizontal windlass designed for vessels between 13 and 17 metres (42–57 feet). This hydraulic version uses a powerful marine‑grade hydraulic motor, delivering exceptional torque and continuous duty performance for commercial and heavy‑use applications. It features a durable white composite housing paired with chromed bronze and 316 stainless steel running gear. The HR2500’s oil‑bath worm drive gearbox provides smooth, reliable operation and long service life, even under high load.
This model supports multiple global chain standards and is compatible with 8mm, 10mm, and 13mm chain. It includes a high‑tensile stainless steel shaft, gypsy lock pawl, chain pipe and panel, independent gypsy and capstan operation, and front double‑row bearings for added strength. The HR2500 is Auto Anchor compatible and includes the MORS manual override system for emergency operation. This version is the hydraulic drive configuration, suitable for vessels equipped with hydraulic power systems.
