The Muir DW12 Drum Windlass is a powerful anchoring system designed for vessels between 10 and 12 metres (34–42 feet). It features a marine-grade 316 stainless steel drum, a heavy-duty dual-direction motor, and a superior oil-bath worm drive gearbox for smooth and reliable operation. The DW12 is ideal for boats requiring higher load capacity while still maintaining a compact and efficient anchoring solution, suitable for both recreational and light-commercial vessels.
This package includes the full 12-volt DC configuration with a 1500-watt motor, circuit breaker, reversing solenoid, and toggle helm switch. The DW12 provides power-up and power-down operation for controlled anchoring performance in demanding marine conditions. It is designed to handle 8mm or 10mm chain and 10mm rope, with drum capacity suitable for larger vessel anchoring systems.
