The Martyr Max Prop Magnesium Anode is designed to provide sacrificial corrosion protection for compatible Max-Prop marine propeller applications. Manufactured from magnesium, the anode gradually wears away while helping protect the propeller and associated underwater metal components from galvanic corrosion.
Magnesium is particularly suited to freshwater environments, where the material provides effective sacrificial protection. Replacing the propeller anode when it becomes significantly worn is an important part of routine propeller and corrosion maintenance.
